Overwhelmed by lifeβs challenges and emotions?
Letβs talk.
Hi, Iβm Jenny Mariaschin-Rudin. I believe that our worst moments, traits, and traumas do not define us. In therapy, I help you make positive changes through developing insight and coping skills, and improving executive functioning. I partner with you to leverage your strengths to develop the tools you need to regulate, navigate life, and reach your full potential. Together, we explore your unique experiences, thoughts, and emotions so that you can feel more than better; you can feel good.

About My Practice
My Therapy Philosophy
I am a compassionate, neurodiversity affirming therapist who believes that every individual has the ability to discover their strength. The therapeutic relationship can support exploration of your whole self to feel like your better self, even when you are not at your best. Times of crisis can be an opportunity to learn, to reset, to get a fresh start. First, we need to understand what we are going through, to allow ourselves to have feelings, and, when we are ready, take the step towards learning and using skills to feel better. There is not one right path; rather, there are many to choose from, and therapy can empower you to choose yours.

Individual work
Stress, depression, and anxiety impact adolescents differently from adults. I draw upon evidence based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings, and develop coping skills for challenges that come up during this time in their lives.
Establishing A Relationship
Building rapport, especially with teens, is crucial in creating a safe space where they feel heard, understood, and comfortable. I meet them where they are and establish trust so that therapy feels intimidating and more relatable. When teens feel like theyβre not just another case but a unique individual, it can make a big difference in how they engage with the therapeutic process.
Collaborative Approach
When appropriate, I work collaboratively with other members of a child's team, including teachers, other types of therapists (occupational, physical, speech), and psychiatrists, and refer to additional supports and resources when needed. I partner with parents and provide different levels of support throughout their child's journey, depending on the developmental stage and need of the individual child or teen.

1-1 Executive Functioning support is available for adolescents and adults. I work with you to improve executive functioning across all domains of life - professional, academic, family, and personal.
We identify barriers to goal setting and follow-through and develop concrete strategies to improve specific Executive Functioning skills that you need help with. I also address anxiety, depression, and self esteem that result from and contribute to challenges with executive functioning.
I provide Executive Functioning Workshops to teach fundamental and detailed skills, and provide an accountability and improvement structure for ongoing progress.

π‘ Tip of the Issue: Picture that βAhhh - Iβm done!β Feeling
When you're avoiding an unpleasant task, pause and picture how you'll feel once itβs done. Notice where that feeling might show up in your body, imagine your expression, and hold onto that relief. A simple word or mantra can help refocus your mind when the task feels especially obnoxious.

πͺ Reflection Corner: Neurodiversity in the news
When ADHD or autism make headlines, I often feel a knot in my stomach. Recent coverageβlike the NYTβs Have We Been Thinking About ADHD All Wrong? or RFKβs claims about autismβcan stir anxiety and confusion. While itβs important to ask questions, neurodiversity is complex, and deserves thoughtful, contextualized, comprehensive, and nuanced understanding.
Sensational or irresponsible media can cause real harm and gaslighting, fueling doubt or forcing neurodivergent people to defend their experiencesβeven to providers or loved ones. Instead, we need to ground ourselves in science, therapeutic support, and our own lived truths.
